Heehee. Google buys Metafilters. I love April Fools' Day. XD

Went to get something to eat at McDonald's (shush), and the girl who served me (older than me) was quite respectful. She used third person when addressing me (common in Italian when respectfully addressing somebody... ie. "vuole qualche salsa?") and called me "ma'am" ("signora") to boot. oO; Was quite weird. Either I'm finally starting to look my age (or older), or she was quite shortsighted.

And then I sat down to eat, reading some manga I'd just bought, and a group of four girls introduced themselves and started asking me questions about the manga, where I'd bought the manga, what the plot was, how it ended, etc. Oo; That was quite weird as well, even if it's not the first time somebody attempts to strike up a conversation with me using what I'm reading as a subject.

ooh, flowers :D (yes, I'm very slow this week)...

oh, and NOT TO BE EATING CARDBOARD

.... well, no one approaches me to strike up random conversation. I wonder why? *taps her big iron bat over her shoulder*

Re: McDonald's "food" - I said shush. :p I was hungry, and I didn't have much time to eat nor much money to spend on food (I spent the majority of the money I had with me on manga - yes, AGAIN *sigh*).

that must be McDonald's new slogan:

"So yeah, our food is crap, but we respect you for buying it" :p
